Good Faith Estimate
Your right to know the cost of care
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs for healthcare services. This applies to patients who do not have insurance or choose not to use insurance.
Insurance-based services
If you are using insurance, Lucid Psychiatry works with billing partners such as Alma and Headway to manage insurance verification and billing. Your co-pay, deductible, and coverage details will be determined and shared with you before your visit.
- All billing, claims, and payment processing are handled directly by Alma or Headway.
- Questions regarding charges, claims, or disputes should be directed to Alma or Headway directly.
- Lucid Psychiatry does not directly manage or process insurance billing.
Self-pay rates
If you choose not to use insurance, the fixed self-pay rates are:
- Initial Psychiatric Evaluation: $250
- Follow-Up Visits: $175
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Receive a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services
- Know your expected costs in advance
- Dispute a bill if it is significantly higher than the estimate
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute charges.
